Dr. Stelios Timotheou is a Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus. He holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (2005) from the National Technical University of Athens, and an MSc (2006) and a PhD (2010) from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Imperial College London. Previously, he worked as a Research Associate at the Computer Laboratory, University of Cambridge. His research focuses on the modelling and system-wide solution of problems in complex and uncertain environments that require real-time and close to optimal decisions by developing intelligent, optimisation, and machine learning techniques. Application areas of his work include intelligent transportation systems, computer and communication systems, disaster management and neural networks.
