  4. PREDICATE Participation at “Lelapa 2016” Fire Fighting Exercise where 190 emergency responders, 41 fire trucks, and more than 10 aircrafts from Cyprus, Greece, U.K., and Israel participated. More than 50 individuals from various Departments of the Cypriot Government, the Embassy of Israel, Greece and Britain attended the Exercise. The live stream of the UAV coverage (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ltpdn-w-Bcs) of the civilian evacuation was remotely seen by more than 40 individuals.

  7. PREDICATE partners have participated in the Pre-exercises conducted on the 24th and 26th May 2016, for Argonavtis 2016. Photo Gallery
  8. PREDICATE participated in the annual sea-air-land exercise Argonaftis 2016. The exercise involved the National Guard, Civil Defence, and police forces of Cyprus, in cooperation with other government agencies and international stakeholders from 17 countries including Greece, France, U.K., Israel, and USA. Throughout the four-day exercise, existing national disaster plans were tested involving more than 300 personnel. The exercise concluded with the evacuation of people from neighbouring countries by vessel through Larnaca, Cyprus. The script covered asymmetric threats such as terrorism and piracy, and crisis management. Photo Gallery

  10. PREDICATE has successfully participated in the “Eggelados” 2017 earthquake drill (13-15th Mar 2017) where the use of drones in emergency management was demonstrated and used to better coordinate the actions of first repsonders and provide rapid situational assessment. In the exercise, more than 100 members of the Cyprus Civil Defence participated in addition to 40 emergency repsonders from Greece, Israel and France. Photos Gallery
  11. PREDICATE has successfully participated in the “Lellapa” 2017 fire drill (15-16th May 2017) where UAS were used for situational assessment before other manned aircraft were called in for help. In the exercise, more than 166 members of the Cyprus Fire Service participated in addition to other first responders from the Cyprus Police and the Cyprus Civil Defence. Moreover, 9 manned aircraft were deployed with 27 crew. Photos Gallery

  7. The first AMC (Assessment Mission Course) training course with a presentation on UAS for emergency management was carried out on 7th May 2017 in Limassol, Cyprus. The AMC is a training module of the Union’s Civil Protection Mechanism Training Programme and the use of UAS for mission assessment has been established within the course by the PREDICATE partners in collaboration with the coordinator of the course THW. The training will take place 5 times a year and in this first presentation on the use of drones approximately 20 trainees were present of various backgrounds and nationalities. Photos Gallery

  9. PREDICATE has successfully participated in the NGCP conference where a seminar was given on the use of UAS platforms for disaster prevention and management. A demonstration was also conducted through a live exercise on the autonomous featured developed through the project. More than 150 attendees from public organizations, the European Union and internationally attended the event. There was great interest from a number of these attendees on both the selection and use tools developed within the project and conducts were established with them for further exploitation of results. NGCP flyer. Photos Gallery
  10. An invited presentation and demo of PREDICATE was carried out 12-13 December 2017 at the Ministry of Security of the Republic of Argentina in Buenos Aires. Approximately 50 officers from all federal forces of the state were present. Photos Gallery
