Ballistic
The ballistics mechanism was designed to be attached on a UAV and give the ability to the operator to fire projectiles. The current version can only take standard sized, nerf bullets as projectiles.
The connection to the DJI M300 is straightforward as there are only two cables to be attached. The mechanism controller requires both power and a communication line. To provide power, you connect the XT30 connector to an external 3S LiPo battery, as the DJI M300 cannot supply the required current for the mechanism. For communication and receiving commands, you attach the mechanism’s micro USB connector to an Nvidia Jetson using a USB cable. The controller can be secured on the DJI’s M300 top side, available for mounting extra payloads, and secured by four M3 screws. The magazine has a capacity for 4 bullets (standard Nerf size), but only 3 are usable.
The mechanism can be controlled by the AIDERS Platform.
