Abdul Quddious

Dr Abdul Quddious received the B.S. degree in telecommunication engineering from Government College University, Faisalabad, Pakistan, in 2012. He then received MS degree in electrical engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2015. He worked at COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus as a lecturer from 2015 – 2016. He received Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering (focusing on applied electromagnetics) from Frederick University, Nicosia, Cyprus in 2019. He is currently working at KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence, University of Cyprus as a Postdoc Research Fellow and working on EU Horizon 2020 Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) Open project.

Dr Quddious has authored or coauthored more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences along with two book chapters. His research interests include implantable optoelectronic sensors, reconfigurable RF electronics, wireless power transfer, RFIDs, passive and active antennas for biomedical devices and wireless sensors. He is serving as a reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Wireless Propagation, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, IEEE Journal on Electromagnetics, RF, and Microwaves in Medicine and Biology, IET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation and International Journal of Antennas and Propagation. He was a recipient of the Erasmus Mundus INTACT Doctoral scholarship by European Union in 2016. In 2019, he received an honorary gold plaque for “Academic Excellence” from the Frederick University Cyprus.
