Alireza Moghaddam

Alireza Moghaddam is a Research Associate at the KIOS Research and Innovation Centre of Excellence at the University of Cyprus. He received his BSc degree in Water Engineering from the University of Birjand, Iran in 2010. and MSc degree in Water Resources Engineering from the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran in 2013. He completed his PhD in Water Resources Engineering at the Urmia University, Iran in 2019. He has more than eight years of teaching experience at the universities and industrial experience in real water distribution networks field. His research has focused on optimal design, optimal hydraulic and quality management in water distribution systems, leakage management, water quality and hydraulic model calibration, management of chemical contamination events in water distribution systems. His other research interests include smart water networks, leakage detection modelling, real-time monitoring and control in water distribution systems.
