Charalambos Menelaou received a B.Sc. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Cyprus, Nicosia, Cyprus, in 2013. Currently, he had fulfilled all the requirements for the completion of his Ph.D. Degree in Computer Engineering from the same department, and he is going to graduate in the next graduation ceremony (January 2020). He is also a researcher at the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence (CoE) of the University of Cyprus. His research interests focus on control and optimization of large-scale urban networks and routing techniques for connected-autonomous vehicles using graph theoretical approaches, artificial intelligent methods and mathematical programming tools. During his studies Charalambos has created strong network with leading international professionals and academics in the area of intelligent transportation network. Furthermore, his innovation and entrepreneurship activities involve his participation in various seminars and workshops related with entrepreneurship and innovation including the Huawei’s “Seeds for the Future Programme (2017) and ChrysalisLeap Climate-Launchpad Cyprus Boot Camp (2017). Charalambos has been a member of the executive committee of the IEEE student branch of the University of Cyprus since 2012 and also is a member of the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems and IEEE Vehicular Technology Societies since 2014 and 2015, respectively. Charalambos is also participating as a volunteer to the IEEE Cyprus Section activities and serves as a volunteer to the IEEE ITSS ITS Podcast. Finally, Charalambos’ work has been published in various prestigious journals and conferences while he is also serving as a reviewer in many scientific journals and conferences.
