Elena Polykarpou obtained her BSc with honors and MEng in Electrical Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus in 2010 and 2012. Currently she is a PhD student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus. She is also working as a researcher in the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence. Her research interests include electric power systems (transmission and distribution), monitoring and control, state estimation in the transmission system and load modelling.
