Olympia Pachoumi received her MSc in Natural Sciences (Physical) and Ph.D. in Physics (Optoelectronics) from the University of Cambridge, UK in 2010 and 2014 respectively. She started her career in the Biotechnology R&D industry as a research scientist for a genomics startup (2015-2018) and then carried on working as a Senior Integration Scientist in the Product Development function for a genomics global leader company, (2018-2021). Throughout her academic and industrial work, Olympia acquired experience on technology commercialization, from first principles development to product launch and gained experience in project and team management, that have contributed towards the development and launch of high quality products in regulated markets, fundraising in a startup environment and creating mutually beneficial partnerships. Her technical interests include efficient integration of systems and decision making through data driven methods such as Design of Experiments and Critical Parameter Management as well as developing computational tools for standardizing and automating processes. She will be working at KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence as the Innovation Hub Manager.
