Dr. Lenos Hadjidemetriou received the Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2010 from the National Technical University of Athens, Athens, Greece, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2016 from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus. From 2010 to 2015 he was working as a graduate-level researcher and from 2016 to today he is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence, University of Cyprus. His research interests include renewable energy systems, synchronization and control methods for the grid tied inverter of PVs, fault ride through strategies, power electronics, smart-grids and micro-grids.
Dr. Hadjidemetriou has extensive experience on several european resereach projects (i.e., PV2GRID, 3D-Mgrid, CIPRNet, etc.). He has developed and is teaching the “Electric machine laboratory” at the University of Cyprus. He has also developed the research laboratory “Power electronics for grid-connection of renewables laboratory” at the University of Cyprus.
Dr. Hadjidemetriou is a member of the Cyprus Technical Chamber. He volunteered as a reviewer to several IEEE transactions and conferences and received the best paper award in the power quality session at IEEE IECON13.
