Passive Radar - Dataset
Passive Radar dataset
The dataset construction involved collecting the reference and target signals from a DVB-T transmitter in the area using UAV drones. The signals were collected through manual UAV flights above the University of Cyprus area. The main purpose of this dataset is to be used for detection and tracking of aerial vehicles in critical infrastructures. Detecting rogue drones and localizing any unwanted threat entering an area of interest, can aid in providing safety and security in critical infrastructures and public spaces.
The signals are collected in a complex64 data type using Software Defined Radio (SDR). Specifically, the SDR employed was USRP B210 with two directional Yagi antennas applied on an embedded processing unit (NVIDIA JETSON Xavier NX).
The dataset includes a total of 12 flight paths using a Matric M300 drone in the UCY area.
It is advised to further process the dataset so that any multipath noise is cancelled (using ECAS algorithm) and drone detections can be obtained.
