  • October 18, 2021: Featured in a special edition the ‘Green careers directory’   created to showcase how people  from across the globe are pursuing ‘Green careers’ . The  Green Directory which is published by the British Council,  will be disseminated at major United Nations climate change summit, the 26th United Nations Climate Change conference taking place in Scotland in November 21. The Climate Change Conference will focus on  nations reviewing their commitments and targets to containing global warming and introducing measures to  adapt to the impacts of a changing climate. According to the UN, the Conference will include  ‘more than 190 world leaders, along with tens of thousands of negotiators, government representatives, businesses and citizens for twelve days of talks’.

Specifically, I was included in the directory for her research work  on Intelligent Transportation Systems,  an important area that can help to reduce the significant and undesired environmental impacts of traffic congestion, whilst contributing to the reduction of greenhouse emissions and fuel consumption. This in turn can help towards the mitigation of the urban heat-island effect which contributes to climate change, which is now progressing faster than at any point in the history of modern civilization.
