Project

Actions

PREDICATE will delivery Needs Assessment and Technology Review Methodologies, Path Planning Methodologies, and Innovative Solutions and Prototypes.

UAS prototypes will be tested during the “Lelapa” fire drill and the “Eggelados” earthquake drill for safe evacuation of citizens.

Objectives

PREDICATE aims at enhancing the disaster prevention capabilities of civil protection and other relevant services in local, regional, national, and international level, by demystifying the use of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) for watch-keeping and patrolling Regions of Interest (RoI).

By the end of the project, all the necessary methodologies should be available for any non-technical authority and relevant stakeholder to be able to understand how to select and make use of UAS technology for watch-keeping and patrolling of their own disaster-prone RoI.

To guide UAS selection, PREDICATE will develop detailed needs assessment and technology review procedures.

To guide the use of UAS, PREDICATE will develop an intelligent path planning toolkit for efficient UAS operation.

A series of prototypes for a number of RoI identified by the participating end-user partners will be developed.
