Marios Papageorgiou is a PhD Student at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus undertaking his research at the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence. He has an interdisciplinary background in Biomedical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence and his primary research focuses on cancer detection and analysis in medical images using advanced deep learning techniques. His interests include the detection, classification and segmentation of tumors and other pathological lesions, with the aim of developing accurate and clinically meaningful AI-assisted diagnostic tools. He is also interested in computational methods that support treatment planning and clinical decision-making, contributing to the advancement of intelligent technologies for precision medicine.
