Michalis Ramp joined the KIOS CoE at the University of Cyprus as a Research Associate in March 2023. He received his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (ME) from the University of Cyprus, in 2008. He is the recipient of the Fulbright scholarship award for Masters studies in the USA where he obtained his Masters Diploma in ME (Control Systems) from the University of California at Berkeley, in 2010. He obtained a Ph.D. degree from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece (Thesis title: Geometric, Coordinate-free, Modeling and Control of Multirotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), in 2022. His current research interests include traffic flow control, modeling of dynamic systems, robotics, nonlinear control systems, geometric mechanics/control and applied mathematics.
