holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in Electrical Power Engineering from Mutah University, with expertise in power systems, renewable energy, and real-time simulations. Previously, he worked as a Project Coordinator managing international projects and initiatives. As Chairman of the IEEE Power and Energy Society at Mutah University, he facilitated workshops and organized seminars on important topics in power systems for university students. Rashed’s graduation project, “Designing and Testing Protective Overcurrent Relay Using RTDS,” won first place in the Green and Sustainable Technologies track at the 11th National Technology Parade. Rashed is a Research Engineer I at the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence, University of Cyprus, focusing on simulation models, digital twins, and hardware-in-the-loop applications to enhance power system resilience and innovation.
