Xenia Andreou is a Senior Software Engineer at the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence, with over 11 years of experience in designing and developing scalable backend systems in the insurance, fintech, and banking sectors. She has extensive expertise in Python, Java, and microservice architectures, with a focus on high-performance data processing, event-driven systems, and secure integrations. Prior to joining KIOS, she served as a Technical Lead and Tech Product Manager, where she delivered modern API platforms, improved system throughput through asynchronous processing, and mentored engineering teams. Xenia is currently pursuing an MSc in Artificial Intelligence at the European University Cyprus, integrating machine learning techniques into real-world applications. She also holds an MBA (Distinction) from the European University Cyprus and a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT).
