The KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence at the University of Cyprus is pleased to announce the lecture of the internationally recognized Professor Yang Tang, from East China University of Science and Technology.
The lecture titled “Intelligent Optimization and Decision-making in Multi-Agent Systems”, will take place on Friday, 10 October 2025, at 11:00 (Cyprus time), in Amphitheater 010 “Evi Sofianou (Social Facilities Center 03), University of Cyprus.
This talk will address issues of intelligent optimization decision-making, unfolding discussions in two parts: intelligent optimization and game-theoretic decision-making.
Professor Yang Tang (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Donghua University, Shanghai, China, in 2006 and 2010, respectively. From 2008 to 2010, he was a Research Associate with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. From 2011 to 2015, he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the Humboldt University of Berlin, Berlin, Germany, and with the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, Potsdam, Germany. He is now a Professor with the East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai. His current research interests include distributed estimation/control/optimization, computer vision, reinforcement learning, cyber-physical systems, hybrid dynamical systems, and their applications.
This lecture is open to the public and is part of the KIOS Distinguished Lecture Series, a series of lectures that hosts world-class researchers who are specialized in technology and innovation fields.
