The KIOS Research and Innovation Centre of Excellence had the pleasure of hosting the 3rd Project Board Meeting of the IDEATION Project on 5–6 June 2025, at its premises. The meeting brought together project partners from across Europe for two highly productive days of collaboration, evaluation, and strategic planning.
During the two-day meeting, partners reviewed progress on the IDEATION project, which aims to advance technologies to integrating inland waters and ocean in a unique digital twin. KIOS is leading the development of OpenKIWAS (Open Knowledge Inventory for Inland Water Systems), which compiles policies, projects, tools, technologies, and datasets from water and meteorological infrastructure. Discussions also covered the IDEATION Reference Architecture, the IDEATION roadmap, Reference Use Cases for Water Management, and outcomes from recent Multi-Stakeholder Forum activities.
In addition to the technical program, IDEATION partners had the opportunity to tour KIOS’ state-of-the-art research infrastructure, gaining firsthand insight into the Centre’s contributions to the development of next-generation, smart, and resilient water management systems.
KIOS is proud to play a central role in IDEATION’s vision to transform water management through intelligent, inclusive, and sustainable digital technologies. We thank all project partners for their active engagement and look forward to the continued success of this collaborative effort.
The IDEATION project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101157371.
