Enhancement of power system integrity and stability using novel sensing technologies
The KIOS Research Center aims at contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the areas of computational intelligence and system design, and apply these methodologies in the monitoring, control and management of large-scale complex systems. The ultimate goal of the KIOS Research Center is to develop advanced engineering tools for the management of critical infrastructures and resources in systems such as telecommunication networks, healthcare systems, electric power systems and distribution networks, and environmental resource management and quality assurance. Furthermore, the KIOS Research Center aims to instigate interdisciplinary interaction and promote collaboration between industry, academia and research organizations in high tech areas.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicants must be holders of a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution. Previous research experience in electric power engineering, control systems, or in a related area is desired. Furthermore, the rules of the specific research project dictate that the candidates have received their doctoral degree between June 2006 and June 2011, while during the last two years they should not have been employed in Cyprus.
EMPLOYMENT TERMS:
This position is on a contract basis for a period of twenty two (22) months. The monthly salary will be €2500. Employee contributions to social security etc. will be covered by the gross salary of the employee. There is no provision for 13th salary or medical and pharmaceutical insurance.
