Artemis Kontou is a Senior Research Associate at KIOS CoE and an entrepreneur passionate about innovation management and growth. She co-founded Malloc, a privacy and data security startup with over 1 million downloads. She holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London and has held key roles, including Research Infrastructure Manager at KIOS CoE, Research Associate at Shell University Technology Centre, and Akzo Nobel. Artemis has participated in over 10 European projects focused on ICT, energy, and climate change. She has taught Project Management, Energy Law, and Applied Mathematics at various universities. Artemis holds two international patents, has published in peer-reviewed journals, and presented at international conferences. She is a National Delegate for ISO56001 Innovation Management standard, an Associate Fellow of the Higher Academy, and serves on the Board of the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
