Ashish Kumar Shakya

Ashish Kumar Shakya received his Ph.D. in Systems and Control from the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Roorkee, India (2025). He earned his M.Tech. in Control Systems from NIT Kurukshetra, India (2012) and B.Tech. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from IMS Engineering College, Ghaziabad, India (2010). In 2024, he was a Visiting Research Scholar at Rutgers University, USA, where he worked on liquid fuel slosh control for satellites and spacecraft using deep reinforcement learning. He previously served as an Assistant Professor at GLA University, Mathura, India. His research interests include reinforcement learning-based control of nonlinear systems. He is currently working at the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence as a Research Associate.
