Dr. Charalambos Menelaou received his BSc and PhD Degrees from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Cyprus, Nicosia, Cyprus, in 2013 and 2020, respectively. Currently, he is a Research Associate at the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence (CoE) of the University of Cyprus. His research interests focus on control and optimization of large-scale urban networks and routing techniques for connected-autonomous vehicles using graph theoretical approaches, artificial intelligent methods, and mathematical programming tools. Charalambos has been a member of the executive committee of the IEEE student branch of the University of Cyprus since 2012 and also is a member of the IEEE ITS and IEEE Vehicular Technology Societies since 2014 and 2015, respectively. Charalambos is one of lead members that initiate the IEEE ITS society in Cyprus chapter since 2022 and currently serves as treasury in the executive board of IEEE ITSS Cyprus chapter. He also participates as a volunteer to the IEEE Cyprus Section activities and serves as a volunteer to the IEEE ITSS ITS Podcast. Charalambos is also committed member of the Mirror and Technical Committees for the Cyprus Standardization Organization for the ITS standards, since 2021. Finally, Charalambos’ work has been published in various prestigious journals and conferences while he is also serving as a reviewer in many scientific journals and conferences.
