Christian Vitale

Christian Vitale holds a B.S. and a M.Sc., from the University of Pisa and a Ph.D. in Telecommunication Engineering from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He is a Research Associate at the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence at the University of Cyprus, where he received an Individual Widening Marie-Curie Fellowship in 2020.

During his career, Christian worked in top universities (Politecnico di Torino and Telecom Paris) and in industrial research departments (NEC Europe). He published more than 30 peer reviewed articles in international conferences and journals, among them INFOCOM 2017 and Transaction on Mobile Computing, winning a best paper award (Online GreenComm ’15) and an honorable mention (COMSNETS ’15). He was involved in several European projects, e.g., FP7-CROWD and H2020 5G-Tranformers, and in the organization of international conferences, e.g., MedComNets 2022.

His interests mainly focus on analytical modeling of complex systems, e.g., wireless networks and intelligent transportation systems, and on the design of mechanisms improving network efficiency and guaranteeing QoS to vertical applications in cellular environments.
