Holds a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL, USA in 2000 (High Honors) and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ, USA in 2001 and 2003 respectively. He is working in the area of electric power engineering. His research work includes power system optimization and security enhancement, use of synchronized measurements in power systems, renewable energy sources, electric machines, and power quality. He is a member of the faculty of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus and a founding member of KIOS.
