Faizan Mehmood received his B.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering and his MSc in Electrical Power Engineering from Pakistan. He worked as a design engineer for two years in Pakistan. He is currently a Ph.D student at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus, and he is working as a researcher at the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence (CoE). His research interests include photovoltaic system integration and control, power electronics converters, fault detection, isolation and accommodation of sensors and actuator faults in grid-side converters, power system stability and reliability, power quality issues, and the smart grid. Faizan is a student member of IEEE and the Pakistan Engineering Council.
