Giannis Savva received the B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Cyprus, Nicosia, Cyprus, in 2017 and 2022, respectively. He is currently a Research Associate with the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence, University of Cyprus. Giannis is a Member of IEEE. His research interests are in the areas of telecommunications, optimization algorithms, heuristic and metaheuristic approaches, resource allocation techniques, security and protection, network planning, network coding, and physical layer security in optical networks.
