Ioannis Yerou is currently the Data and Information Security Manager at KIOS CoE of the University of Cyprus. He received his Bachelor of Science (BSc with High Honors) in Electrical Engineering with minor in Computer Engineering from Michigan State University, USA, after receiving full scholarship from the Cyprus American Scholarship Program (CASP). He is the recipient of the All-American Scholar Collegiate Award in 1988. With scholarship from the same university he completed his Master of Science (MSc) in 1991 in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Data Communications and Computer Networks. He has extensive experience in Systems Evaluation, Computer Networks, Data Communications Systems, Security, Windows, UNIX, and SNA Systems. He managed and administered projects related to Data Communications and Computer Networks. He has teaching experience in the field of Data Communications, Computer Networks and Computer Science. He is a Professional Trainer, approved by the Cyprus Human Resource Development Authority. He is an IEEE member and a member of the Technical Chamber of Commerce of Cyprus (ETEK).
