Kleanthis Malialis

Kleanthis Malialis is a Senior Research Associate with the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence at the University of Cyprus. He joined the Center as a Research Associate in 2017. His research interests lie within the areas of learning from nonstationary, limited-labelled, and imbalanced data streams with applications in monitoring of critical infrastructures and in healthcare. Kleanthis has been involved in and secured funding from various European and National funded research projects. He is currently involved in the LEMUR (MSCA-DN), Water-Futures (ERC-SyG), and CIPHIS (RRF) projects. In 2019, he was awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship to work on the FAULT-LEARNING project. Kleanthis was also a visiting researcher at Polytechnic University of Milan (POLIMI). Previously, Kleanthis was a post-doctoral researcher with the Department of Computer Science at University College London (UCL). He has also held Data Scientist roles in industry (London). Kleanthis holds a PhD degree (2015) from the Department of Computer Science at the University of York, UK on multiagent learning and coordination with applications in network intrusion detection and response, funded by an EPSRC Studentship. Prior to his PhD studies, he obtained an MEng degree in Computer Systems and Software Engineering (First Class, 2010) from the same department.
