Kleanthis Malialis is a Research Associate with the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence at the University of Cyprus. His research interests lie within the area of learning from nonstationary, limited-labelled, and imbalanced data streams. Kleanthis has also been involved in various European and National funded research projects. Previously, he was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow with the University of Cyprus, a visiting researcher with the Polytechnic University of Milan (POLIMI), and a post-doctoral researcher with the Department of Computer Science at University College London (UCL). He has also held Data Scientists roles in industry (London). Kleanthis holds a PhD degree from the Department of Computer Science at the University of York, UK, with a focus on multiagent (reinforcement) learning and coordination for network intrusion (e.g., DDoS attacks) detection and response, funded by an EPSRC Doctoral Training Studentship. Prior to his PhD studies, Kleanthis obtained an MEng degree in Computer Systems and Software Engineering from the same department.
