Kosmia Loizidou has received a BSc in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering as well as a minor degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Cyprus, in 2016. In 2018, she obtained her MSc Degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Cyprus. She is currently a PhD student at the University of Cyprus, holding the position of a Special Scientist at the ‘KIOS Research and Innovation Centre of Excellence’. Her research interests are Biomedical Engineering and clinical health with a specific focus in medical image processing, machine learning and disease diagnosis for the detection and prediction of breast cancer in temporal mammographic pairs.
