Philippos Isaia received the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Loughborough University, UK, in 2012, and the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Software-Defined Networking (SDN) from Loughborough University, UK, in 2018. In his doctoral research he worked on improving the performance of SDN using dynamic flow installation and management techniques. He currently works at KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence at the University of Cyprus and as a Scientific Collaborator at European University Cyprus. His research interests include emerging technologies such as Software-Defined Systems (SDS), Internet of Things (IoT) and Vehicular Ah-hoc Networks (VANETs) as well as experiment platforms such as emulators. He also studies Astronomy at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), UK, as a part-time distance learning student for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Astronomy.
