Rafael Koullouros is a PhD Student at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus, carrying out his research at KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence, specializing in traffic state estimation methods using machine learning. With a strong background in computer science and artificial intelligence, Rafael completed an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Surrey. Rafael’s research focuses on leveraging advanced machine learning techniques to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of traffic flow predictions, contributing to the development of intelligent transportation systems.
