Prof. Christos G. Cassandras: Two lectures on Decentralized Control and Optimization

The KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence of the University of Cyprus is pleased to announce the lecture of the internationally recognized Professor Christos G. Cassandras from the University of Boston in the USA. Professor Cassandras, is currently Head of the Division of Systems Engineering, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and co-founder of Boston University’s Center for Information and Systems Engineering (CISE). He has guest edited several technical journal issues and serves on several journal Editorial Boards. He has also served several IEEE committees, chaired and been a plenary/keynote speaker at numerous international conferences, received several awards, published over 400 refereed papers and six books. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and a Fellow of the IFAC.

Professor Cassandras will be the fourth Distinguished Lecturer of the KIOS Distinguished Lecture Series, a series of lectures that hosts world-class researchers who are specialized in technology and innovation fields. Prof. Cassandras will give two lectures on the topics of “Decentralized Control and Optimization of Cooperative Multi-Agent Systems” and the “Decentralized Control and Optimization in the Internet of Cars“.

The first lecture will take place on Thursday, April 19th 2018 (11:00 – 12:00) in the B108 Room of the University House “Anastasios G, Leventis” at the University of Cyprus and the second lecture on Friday, April 20th 2018 (16:30 – 17:30) in the 010 Room of Social Facilities Building 7 at the University of Cyprus.
