Prof. Mladen Kezunovic: Big Data in Smart Grids: Challenges and Opportunities

The KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence of the University of Cyprus is pleased to announce the lecture of the internationally recognized Professor Mladen Kezunovic from the University of Texas A & M in the USA. Professor Kezunovic, is a Regents Professor and Eugene E. Webb endowed Professor at Texas A&M University, USA where he is employed since 1986. He serves in several leading roles at the university: Director, Smart Grid Center; Site Director, Power Systems Engineering Research Center (PSerc); Director, Power Systems Control and Protection Lab. He is also the Principal Consultant, as well as President and CEO of XpertPowerTM Associates, which has been providing consulting services for the utility industry for over 25 years. He is an IEEE Life Fellow and Distinguished Speaker, CIGRE Fellow, Honorary and Distinguished Member, and Registered Professional Engineer in Texas.

The “Big Data in Smart Grids: Challenges and Opportunities” is the fifth lecture of the KIOS Distinguished Lecture Series, a series of lectures that hosts world-class researchers who are specialized in technology and innovation fields.

The lecture will take place on Friday, June 8th 2018 (11:00 – 12:00) in Room B104 of the ΧΩΔ02 Building at the University of Cyprus.
