International Distinction for the Director of KIOS

Director of KIOS Research Center,  and faculty member of the Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of Cyprus, Professor Marios Polycarpou, has been selected as an Distinguished Lecturer for IEEE . This title is conferred to a very limited and select group of world renowned experts by IEEE,  the world’s largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity and the leading technical organization representing electronics and engineering.

The IEEE Distinguished Lecturer Programme facilitates lectures from internationally distinguished experts on the latest research and practical applications in the area of computational intelligence for the benefit of interested communities (research, academic, government and industry). Professor Marios Polycarpou, whose  field of expertise is neural networks, intelligent control, fault diagnosis, will hold the title of  Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society for three years during which time he will be invited to give lectures at various locations and conferences throughout the world.
