The KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence announces the launch of the Master of Science (MSc) Program in Intelligent Critical Infrastructure Systems, which will be accepting its first class of students in September 2019.

The objective of this internationally unique and multidisciplinary program is to teach highly innovative and intelligent system methods and tools from emerging Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), for the purpose of tackling challenging problems such as monitoring, control, management and security in critical infrastructure systems. These systems can include electric power and energy systems, water distribution networks, telecommunication networks and transportation systems.

The program is offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Cyprus, in collaboration with the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence and Imperial College London, both international leaders in research and innovation activities in the topics of this MSc program. Courses will be taught by renowned scholars from the University of Cyprus and Imperial College London.

The program’s curriculum offers a unique opportunity for professionals working in critical infrastructure systems to further specialize and formalize their education with the newest ICT approaches relevant to modern infrastructures. Moreover, it provides an excellent option for students with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or natural and applied sciences who want to pursue a professional career in critical infrastructure systems or an advanced research career by progressing with a PhD degree in the field.

Applications for the program are open and the deadline is April 19th, 2019 (at 12:00 noon). Applications will remain open after the deadline for any remaining places. As a guide, overseas applicants should aim to apply by no later than 31st of May 2019 and EU applicants by 1st July 2019 to ensure their application can be processed in time.
