The KIOS CoE will participate in the European Researcher’s Night 2021 with a number of interesting research activities focusing on “Digital and Green Age”. The event will be held online in September 24th 2021.
Young researchers from KIOS CoE will inform participants on the importance of scientific research for society at large and its impact on the citizens’ daily lives, and will demonstrate how innovative technological solutions can make critical infrastructure systems more intelligent!
Visitors to the KIOS virtual booths will have the opportunity to learn about renewable energy technologies and smart water systems; how Artificial Intelligence improves the capabilities of drones that are utilized for emergency response missions; how smart technologies can be used for traffic management; and how connected and automated vehicles can traverse intersections without colliding. Furthermore, visitors will be informed about the KIOS CoE Virtual City, a decision support tool which aims to improve the sustainability, efficiency, safety and security of modern cities.
The European Researchers’ Night, funded under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), is a Europe-wide public event that brings researchers closer to the public.
